Zanna Bukar Ali, a representative from Borno State on the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, has left her position.
Bukar, a member of the campaign council for the directorate of young mobilization, stated that a conflict of interest prevents him from continuing to serve on the council.
The Borno politician emphasized his withdrawal from all APC Presidential Support Groups and other APC Support Groups that are supporting the party's candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, in a letter addressed to the Secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council of the APC, James Faleke.
He stated that he had to put the interests of the country before his own, and that the APC's inability to field electable candidates had influenced his decision to leave.
He wrote in the letter:
According to him, “My resignation applies to all other APC Presidential Support Groups, and all other APC Support Groups that is campaigning for His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Kashim Shettima ticket”

“I have been a loyal party member from 2015 to date, with numerous contributions to the party, especially in the 2019 presidential campaigns”
