North Central women unite for ATIKU(NOCWA) has congratulated Ngo Josephine Chundung Piyo for her emergence as the deputy governorship candidate for Barr. Caleb Mutfwang of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in the 2023 general elections.
The women who visited her at her Busa Buji, Jos North Local Government Area in an ancient City of Jos, the Capital of Plateau State, promised to work side by side with the Candidate.
National Welfare coordinator of (NOCWA), Hon. Serah Yusuf said, the women were on solidarity visit to the Deputy Governorship candidate let her know, they are praying for her saying, ”Count on us. We are not just working for ATIKU but we are also working for CALEB Mutfwang/Piyo, Plateau woman is celebrating you, and therefore, we congratulates you”
Maryam Zakari Replong, coordinator of the Southern Zone prayed God to strengthen Piyo,
“ we in the Southern Zone are very happy, this thing is a function of mind, we have now come together as like-minded women to work for your victory. Just like Aaron helped Moses, count us your Aaron” said Replong.
Northern Zone on her part, pointed, “ for the fact that, Caleb Mutfwang represented us with a woman deputy governorship running mate, I want to assure you that, God listens to women’s prayers and never you feel discouraged at anytime”.
“Recalled that, PDP aspirants who contested and lost elections had added on our slogan, “No woman, no elections” but what Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has done here by picking a woman running mate, we the women of plateau have decided to act contrary to the aforementioned slogan by voting PDP because it has made a woman our deputy governor” said one of the women who contested Elections during the primary Elections, Safiya Agari.
Responding to the women’s presentation, Ngo Piyo told the women “My selection is Plateau women’s selection and my victory shall be a victory for all Plateau Women”
She encouraged all Plateau women to vote Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at the presidential election because he is the root, and Caleb Mutfwang is the branch, so let’s work for PDP victory from top to bottom and bottom to top in all the elections.
“My mandate is divine and I pray God’s grace upon my life to be able to serve God through humanity while in office as Deputy Governor of plateau State if elected”. Ngo reiterated.
Earlier during opening remarks, State Leader of the group Ngo Mrs. Nvou Pwajok (aka Mrs. Pee), expressed delight over Piyo’s selection and called on plateau women stakeholders to partner with Caleb Mutfwang in ensuring that the state has another female Deputy Governor again.
