Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has appointed new key figures, following his retirement as General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Adeboye, who is fondly referred to as Daddy G.O, made the announcement on Saturday, January 7, 2017 during the church’s annual thanksgiving at the 3km new auditorium.
It was received with great shock by the congregation of all RCCG Pastors and Ministers.
However, he immediately announced the new General Overseer as Pastor J.O Obayemi.
Pastor J.F Odesola was named the new Secretary, while Pastor J.A. Adeyokunnu will be the new Treasurer.
Adeboye called on all RCCG members to pray for the new leadership, before he pronounced blessings upon them.
Nigeria’s vice-president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, who is also a Pastor with the ministry, was also in attendance.
