PDP's Mutfwang to resolve all pending issues, as party presents certificates of return to all candidates.

Mutfwang promised resolving pending issues as PDP presents certificates of return to all candidates.

Governorship candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has  described the party’s act of issuing certificates of return to candidates for various positions as a forward step towards victory.

SawabiyaNews was on ground when the party presented certificates of return to it’s candidates, and reports how certificates of return were issued to 3 Senatorial District’s candidates, 8 Federal houses of representatives candidates, and 24 State’s house Assembly Candidates for various constituencies accordingly.

The event which took place at the state party Secretariat situated opp. NTA, Yakubu Gowon Way in the capital city of Jos Plateau state, witness a turnout of mammoth crowd as the pdp’s Hall was full to capacity with larger crowd waiting outside the premises and the Main road.

Presenting the certificates to those emerged candidates, the PDP Governorship flagbearer said, “Primaries have been concluded and issues have been join and laid to rest then, candidates are given certificates of return to signify that, that has been put aside and we are now on marching towards victory”

“And by grace of God we are marching towards victory in 2023” Mutfwang maintained.

According to Mutfwang, the event is, “another milestone to journey to victory, though  the Giants might be on our way to Hinder Victory, the bedrock of this victory must be anchored on unity.”

“ I therefore I want to still call on very faithful party men and women that, the days of becries are over, let us put them behind us and let’s March forward”

“I want to appeal to several of our party members to know that, once primaries are over every candidate that has emerged irrespective of your persuasion automatically becomes your candidate. So, if you are a true ungenuine party faithful, you will support every candidate that has emerged from president, to governor, to senate, the house of reps, to house of assembly”

Caleb also appealed to all to consider the party’s victory as victory for all saying, “ none of us loves any candidate more than the other, we all love our candidates, and we will stand by our candidates, we will work for our candidates, we will deliver our candidates, and by the grace of God, we will smile towards victory together”

 “Everywhere I have entered since my emergence, I have campaigned for everybody! Of course, there will still be issues but issues some of them cannot be resolved over night we are going to present certificates and I would like you to know here that, we are standing here today as delegates of the National chairman, are we together?

We are performing this role on behalf of the National chairman it is not our individual decision none of us signed the certificates of return so nobody makes issue out of this it is simply a National Party affair but because of convenience and proximity they decided that some should be taken to various States, you will agree with me that it is not easy to present certificates to over 1,000 people so it is easier handled at the state”

The Governorship stressed the need for all to understand that, those performing the presentation are delegate of the National chairman.

Concerning the rumour of non issuance of certificates to one of the candidates whiich led to standstill in the Seceteriate, Caleb Mutfwang had earlier on stated that,  part of the reconciliatory processes the party had embarked upon out of respect for some of the processes that are yet to be concluded, they will hold one or two of the certificates as a mark of respect and honour to all the people that are involved in the process, it is not as if there is any issue that has not been resolved.

He  reiterated, “until we cross the Tees and the Dots, i want to respect everybody ok so if they omit anybody don’t read meaning into it, it is simply a mark of respect for the process of reconciliation. please as we go out of here we don’t want to hear any insinuation”.

“ ‘ko an hana wani Certificate, ko an rike ma wani, mu ba APC ba ne, na APC ne ake rikewa’  we don’t have any skeleton in our cupboard. They know why they are holding their own but we are very plain we have no secret we have no skeleton in our cupboard” 

He thanked party members for the zeal and enthusiasm shown towards the party, with the assurance that, all issues that are outstanding will be resolved.

He said, “we are a listening leadership and by the grace of God we will not refuse to listen to anybody so be rest assured that if there are outstanding issues we all put them to rest” 

Although there was a delay in the process of presentation to Candidate of the Pankshin, Kanke, Kanam federal House of representatives, but his presentation letter climax the event as the atmosphere became charged with jubilation and dancing of all sorts in his honour.
