PRESIDENTIAL JETS: GBENGA DANIEL OFFERS TO HELP FG RESOLVE DISPUTE

Abuja, Nigeria - Former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel has offered to assist the Federal Government in resolving the ongoing legal dispute with Chinese company, Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Limited, over the seizure of some presidential jets.
The dispute stems from a failed contract initiated in 2007 by the Ogun State government during Daniel's tenure. The Chinese company has dragged the Nigerian government to court and seized three presidential jets undergoing maintenance in France, with one later released to the Nigerian government.
Daniel, through a statement by his media office, described the issue as a sensitive matter involving national assets and commonwealth, and expressed his willingness to provide available records to help the Federal Government pursue its course in court.
He stated, "As a patriotic elder statesman, I choose to thread the patriotic path and engage in helping Nigeria, through the President and Commander-in-Chief, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to find a diplomatic solution to the issue at hand with available records that could assist the Federal Government in pursuing its course at the arbitration and before the courts."
