Plateau: Ogbeha led committee applauds Tribunal for validating it’s Work congratulates Mutfwang and PDP
Tunde Ogbeha led Caretaker Committee Patrick Ogbu, working as Secretary alongside 9 other members, which saw the emergence of Hon. Chris Hassan led structure of the peoples Democratic party PDP Plateau State 2021, has commended the Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Plateau State, for sticking to the standard of good Democratic practice of fairness, thereby validating the Party’s structure in the State.
According to Statement to this medium by the committee’s Secretary, the Ogbehas said, “To us s as a credible team, this judgement delivered today by the tribunal, has not only proven that the PDP in Plateau has structure, but it has further demonstrated the Party’s credible and integrity status, including that of the competent hands of those loyal Team members of the Ogbeha led committee in it’s conduct and procedures of internal electioneering matters in the eyes of every right thinking members of the society”.
Recall, that the Ogbeha led Caretaker Committee had in 2021, conducted a successful party Congresses that, produced a solid structure led by Chris Hassan.
Hassan leadership further conducted the most transpirant Governorship Primaries that returned Barr. Caleb Mutfwang as the party’s gubernatorial plagbearer for 2023 general elections through which the masses voted him as the Executive Governor in February, 2023.
The Tribunal has today been Friday, September 22nd, 2023, dismissed the petition filed by Candidate of the All progressive Congress APC, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda challenging PDP’s Caleb Mutfwang’s victory at the poll in a unanimous judgment by the three-member tribunal was read by Justice Sunday, for lack of merit.
The committee also congratulated Governor Caleb Mutfwang, PDP family and the good people of Plateau State over their victory at the Tribunal.
The statement called on the people of plateau to continue demonstration love and support for their governor while it also continue holding firm an optimism that, Mutfwang is undoubtedly competent to continue providing leadership that will address those numerous challenges that has bedeviled the State in the recent past eight years.
Recall also that, Independent National Electoral Commission declared the PDP’s Mutwang as winner of the March 18 governorship election considering his winning of 525,299 beating 17 other candidates including Yiltwatda of the APC who polled 481,370.
Sawabiya had reported how the tribunal held that “The PDP conducted a repeat congress in 2021 and therefore, had a solid structure as a party to nominate candidates for elections”
