Plateau: CJ delivered 1m Sen. Remi Tinubu's Relief Fund direct to IDPs, donates 1m, making 2M

The relief provided to 500 distressed families in Plateau State by the first lady, Senator Remi Bola Tinubu, was meant to help to provide a good sense of relief, stability and safety in the people.
In his effort to justify the purpose of the beneficiary fund given to him for the support to the affected people in the Kakpwis community IDPs of Barkin Ladi, Plateau State, one of those who's name appeared on the list
Pharmacist Chun John aka CJ, has delivered the 1million naira and personally donated another one million naira making it 2million naira to the affected persons directly at the IDP Camp.
The Plateau State government has equally done its best to ensure that only those families that truly deserve the intervention got it. This it has done by religiously scrutinising the names submitted from the various communities under the 6 affected LGAs before filing the names on the open bank drafts provided.
The relief funds were part of a substantial donation made by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, during her visit to Jos Plateau State on 12th September. Senator Tinubu had contributed N500 million to 500 displaced families across six local government areas in Plateau State through her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
Each of those beneficiaries from Mangu, Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Bassa, Bokos, and Jos South LGAs are meant to receive one million Naira to aid their return to their communities and the reconstruction of their homes.
CJ in his usual generous nature towards internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by attacks in Barkin Ladi LGA, also siezed the opportunity to present cash relief to 50 individuals in his LGA home community, Kakpwis Foron, Barkin Ladi LGA.
The pharmacist, also took time to clarify the public how his name was added to the list of beneficiaries without his consultation, knowledge or consent which was meant to ensured those who were genuinely affected by the crisis got the N1 million credited to him. “And that is exactly what I have come to confirm”
According to CJ, “The one Million Naira was an opportunity to reach out to the IDPs in Kakpwis community".
He further presented his additional 2million naira donation to handed 50 individuals with some who got the sum of 20,000 Naira each, as he handed over the first lady's 1million naira to the affected persons.
He also appreciated the First Lady for her foresight in making such a substantial donation and urged the public to support similar laudable initiatives.
The presentation took place in the presence of kapkwis community stakeholders.
Recall that, the first lady of the nation, had two months ago, visited Plateau State, where she donated five hundred million naira donation ( half a billion naira) to the families of those killed,maimed and displaced in the six local government areas of the state affected.
