*Directorate of Media and Publicity* ,
Atiku-Okowa, Mutfwang Piyo has described the decamping of over 170 APC members to the PDP as “HARVEST OF DECAMPEES AT THE PDP CAMPAIGN FLAG OFF AT SHENDAM”

It was an exuberant air on Tuesday January 10 at the Shendam stadium when over 17,000 former members of the APC changed camp and declared their support and loyalty to the PDP. The decampees were from the six local governments that make up the zone.

Shendam local government area alone documented and confirmed over five thousand decampees while the rest came from Qua'an-Pan,  Wase, Langtang North, Mikang and Langtang South LGAs.

They were received by the PDP Zonal Chairman, Simon Domle who in turn handed them over to the state party Chairman, Hon Chris Hassan.

Spokespersons of the decampees said they had tried the other camp and left because PDP has a much more convincing and credible leadership as well as superior programmes.

They promised to remain loyal to the PDP and campaign vigorously for the success of the party at the polls in February and March 2023.

There were cheers of joy as the enthusiastic crowd at the rally acknowledged and welcomed the decampees.

The rally also witnessed the presentation of flags to all candidates of the party standing for elections from the Southern Zone.

They are Retired Air Vice Marshall Napoleon Bali for Senate, Hon Beni Lar for the House of Representatives Langtang North and South Federal Constituency, Barr Ibrahim Kanje Bawa, SAN, for House of Representatives, Wase Federal Constituency, and Hon Isaac Kwallu for House of Representatives, Shendam,  Mikang and Qua'an Pan Federal Constituency.

Others are eight House of Assembly Candidates across the Zone - Nannim Joseph for Langtang North North, Nanbol Rimvyat for Langtang North Central, Dayyabu Dauda for Wase, Rims Nimchak for Langtang South, Moses Thomas Sule for Mikang, Noel Na'anniap Nkup for Shendam, Cornelius Dongna'an Doeyok for Qua'an-Pan South and Paul Naankot Datugun for Qua'an-Pan North.

Senator representing senator who is representing Plateau North Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly Barr ID Gyang supported the party Chairman,  Hon Chris Hassan in presenting the flags to the candidates.

The flag bearers promised to campaign vigorously but peaceful and successful. They said they are determined to give quality representation to their constituents when voted for at the polls next month and sworn into their various legislative Chambers.

With the successful hosting of the Zonal Rally in Shendam, all eyes are now focused on the flag offs coming up at the Northern  Zone on Thursday January 12 and that of the Central Zone coming up at Pankshin on Saturday, January 14.

Party members and admirers appreciated the Southern Zone for a massive turn out that sent a clear signal that the PDP is not only cohesive and responsive in political campaigns, but is also preparing for governance from May 29, 2023.
