The spate of killings by Fulani militias in Bokkos LGA of Plateau State in continuing unabatedly as farmer's are now chased, killed, hands chopped to ensure natives do not farm anymore.

To advance their land grabbing mission, the Fulani malitia attacked a group of farmers who went to harvest Irish potatoes on farm at Deres Mangor in Bokkos LGA where they gruesomely machetted  Pwet Ishaku Zephaniah of Mushere Chiefdom and cut off his hand.

Zaphaniah's brother Mr. Long Pwet Longzy, narrated the the story saying “The victim was found helplessly laying down, bleeding profusely on his farm as the attackers who thought he was dead all ran away” a good Samaritan (name not mentioned) found found and brought him to Dung clinic in Bokkos. 

“Meanwhile those were Fulani people who my brother assisted with some sweet potatoes when they met him watering the farm last week, when they complained of lack of food due to the crisis, claiming innocence of the attacks in bokkos and he cautioned them to leave in peace.” 

We have been referred to Jos University Teaching hospital JUTH and now been attended to at the emergency unit” said Longzy.

Recall, during the recent outrages in Bokkos, reports from various quotas has had it that, at least not less that 200 persons have been so far killed, with houses, farmlands, and properties destroyed by the suspected marauders.

As at the time of writing this report, no arrest have been made yet, while Plateau State commissioner of Police, Fayoade Adegoke Mustapha who also confirmed the incident said, “Investigations are still going on”

Burden by the development, member representing Mangu/Bokkos Constituency in the National Assembly, Representative Ishaya Lalu, has presented a strong call for the establishment of permanent heavy security presence in the constituency.

According to Lalu, the plea when considered, is meant to stem security breaches and breakdown in Mangu and Bokkos communities that has led to the gruesome destruction of several villages during the Christmas period.

The Federal lawmaker's presentation as captured was a contributions for the amendment of the motion raised by Leader of North Central Caucus, he urged the Federal Government to consider the following:

1. The Defence Hqtrs is called upon to establish Forward Operation Base in six villages including Dankong, Mahanga, Chakfem, Karfa, Daffo, Mushere villages

2. The Inspector General of Police is called upon to establish Mobile Police Squadron Formations @ Gung, Genaret, Kadunu, Mushu, Yampiang and Manguna

3. The Office of the National Secommunitiescurity Adviser (NSA) is called upon to built Counter Terrorism Centres in the affected
