Plateau: SSA to PRESIDENT TINUBU,on com’ties engagements(N/C), Mrs. Abiodun Essiet, identifies Traditional rulers as key to developmental drive.

His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidency, has identified traditional institution as the most reliable channel of getting to the target communities, for engagement that will bring effective feedback.

The Senior Special assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Community engagement for North Central Nigeria Mrs. Abiodun Essiet made this assertion while on a courtesy visit to the Plateau state council of Chiefs through her representatives(Team), in Jos.

Led by a Plateau daughter of soil, Ms. Nankwat S. Nankwat Tongtok , whom the monarchs said the are proud to have, the delegation, assured Plateau Citizens of the Presidential team of community engagements office's open door policy to attract good community involvement and partnership for generality of the people.

Highlighting some of the office's activities and mandate, Essiet expressed delight concerning the traditional Council’s readiness for partnership, promising that, dividends of democracy to the grassroots is certain.

Delivering his remarks, Chairman Plateau State Joint Traditional Council, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, the Gbom Gwong Jos, applauded the efforts President Tinubu on creating an important office.

The Monarch expressed hope that, the engagement will foster communities active and direct involvement in the process of projects execution according to the SSA’s mandate, which aims at
fostering strong relationship between the community and it’s government.

The council, said, it will give its maximum support for the programme to succeed in Plateau State.

Earlier, a former lawmaker, Hon. Mrs Alice Dimlong who is currently, the APC Party’s State Woman leader, appreciated the council of Chiefs for giving the delegation what she described as “a rare privilege” having an Interface with the traditional rulers.
