Tribunal dismisses ANPP's petition against Mutfwang(PDP) as PDP's Gyendeng looses case to LP

Governorship election tribunal sitting in Jos, Plateau State has dismissed the petition of Alfred Dabwan, of the NNPP against Caleb Mutfwang, of the PDP and awarded the cost of N1.5m against the petitioner.
Dabwan had sought the nullification of the March 18, 2023 election which Mutfwang emerged victorious over what he termed the unlawful exclusion of the NNPP log by INEC in the ballot.
Similarly, National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Jos city, the Capital of Plateau State in Nigeria, has today Monday, 11th September, 2023 nullified the election of Peter Gyengdeng, as the lawmaker representing Barkin/Riyom Federal Constituency in Abuja.
Although the Tndependent National Electoral Commission had declared Gyengdeng of the Peoples Democratic Party as winner of the National Assembly poll conducted on February 25, 2023, but the tribunal equally declared Fom Chollom of the Labour Party as the validly elected representative for the federal constituency.
