Mrs Stella Taylors Nee Osakwe has request the  prompt.release of her children, who she claimed have been greatly affected by the distressing experience of being kept away from their home by  National Agency For The Prohibition Of  trafficking in Persons ( NAPTIP ) Benin _ City Zonal command, since the 22nd Day of September, 2023.

Nee Osakwe, said to be living in the United States of America, in a writeup sent to this platform for publication said, “My mother, Mrs. Pauline Ifeoma Osakwe, and my siblings, Ifeoma Valentina Osakwe, Ikeachukwu Osakwe, and Perpetual Osakwe, conspired to unlawfully take away my adopted children and my property. They believed that since I had traveled abroad, I would not return to Nigeria”.

According to the statement ;

An appeal for the immediate release of the aforementioned minors, who have been lawfully adopted by Mrs. Stella Taylor and her husband, O.J. Taylor. Despite a court order affirming the documented fact of Mrs. Stella Taylor's legal adoption of the children, your officers continue to hold the children in captivity.

My name is Stella Taylor, formerly known as Stella Osakwe. My mother, Mrs. Pauline Ifeoma Osakwe, and my siblings, Ifeoma Valentina Osakwe, Ikeachukwu Osakwe, and Perpetual Osakwe, conspired to unlawfully take away my adopted children and my property. They believed that since I had traveled abroad, I would not return to Nigeria.

There are two units of a two-storey building that includes a total of eight flats. It is located at number 25, Nduka IIoba Street, Umuagu quarters Asaba. I worked hard to build these buildings, sending my hard-earned money to  Nigeria for several years to my mother and younger siblings for the construction of the building.

By virtue of my marriage to Mr. O.J. Taylor, an African American, I now bear the name Mrs. Stella Uzomeyea Taylor, formerly known as Stella Osakwe. After completing my secondary education at St. Bridges Grammar School in Asaba, I pursued a nursing degree at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital in Benin City. I successfully graduated in May 1990.

I practiced nursing in Nigeria for eight years before I traveled to the United States of America in 1998. Since then, I have been practicing as a registered nurse in several specialized areas up until now.

My husband, Mr. O.J. Taylor, is not a man of shoddy character or a man of straw. It is evident that I am a fully grown woman of 55 years with impeccable character and disposition. I cannot involve myself in any act that would tarnish my image and personality.

I work hard as a nurse and continue to work hard. I also earn a good living from my practice as a nurse, thanks to God's design. Despite these accomplishments, I have not been able to have a biological child of my own. However, upon traveling to the United States, my mother, Mrs. Pauline Ifeoma Osakwe, counselled me that I can legally adopt children. Consequently, I agree with my mother, Mrs. Pauline Osakwe, and my youngest sibling, Ifeoma Valentina Osakwe, to assist me in adopting a child in Nigeria.

My mother and my youngest sibling, Ifeoma Osakwe, who was just 9 years old when I left for the United States, assisted me with the entire adoption process. And indeed, I adopted a girl child whom I named Stella Star Uzomeyea Osakwe.

This adoption process took place before I got married to my husband, O.J. Taylor. I took care of the training and upbringing of my adopted daughter, Stella Star Uzomeyea Osakwe. I provided all the financial and material resources for the training of my adopted child, who I have left in the care of my mother, Mrs. Pauline Ifeoma Osakwe, and my sister, Valentina Ifeoma Osakwe.

There is no basis for claiming that a woman who has not given birth to a child would act inappropriately towards her adopted child.I have never planned, even for a single day, to traffic my adopted daughter to any part of the world, including the United States of America. These allegations in the petition forwarded to me for response are completely false, and I have no intention of exploiting my daughter for any financial advantage.

I did not conspire with anybody to traffic my adopted daughter, Stella Star Uzomeyea, to the United States. I also did not ask Valentina Ifeoma Osakwe or my mother, Mrs. Pauline Osakwe, for the refunds of the funds I sent for the adoption process of Stella Star Uzomeyea Osakwe. My daughter.

I was utterly shocked to my core when I discovered, to my great surprise, that my younger sibling Valentina Ifeoma Osakwe had proceeded to legally adopt my adopted daughter as her own, without disclosing to the court that my daughter had already been adopted by me.

Valentina Ifeoma Osakwe's application for the adoption of my daughter under another name is attached hereto for your perusal. Please take a look and witness the cruelty of some individuals. I was in the United States for several years and was unable to visit Nigeria due to challenges in legalizing my stay. However, in October 2022, I finally had the opportunity to visit Nigeria after years of absence.And I discovered that my mother and my youngest sister, Valentina Ifeoma Osakwe, had conspired to readopt my daughter, Stella Star Uzomeyea, under another name, Nee Star Osakwe, mistakenly believing that I would never return to Nigeria.

Also, under the advice of my mother, I began and completed the construction of two separate-story buildings on a single piece of land. The buildings were constructed by my mother on my behalf, using funds I had sent from the United States during my visit to Nigeria in October 2022. I entered my buildings, but my mother opposed me and used the police to harass me for reasons I couldn't comprehend. I had to secure a restraining order from the court against my mother in order to maintain peace in Nigeria until my return to the United States of America, scheduled for sometime in November 2022.

Before I traveled back to the United States in 2022, I applied to the court to overturn the supposed re-adoption of my daughter Stella Star Uzomeyea Osakwe by Valentina Ifeoma Osakwe. The court granted my application with a ruling delivered on the 8th day of June 2023. Please find a copy of the said ruling attached here.

Apart from trying to convert my adopted child for themselves, my youngest sister, Valentina Ifeoma Osakwe, and my mother, Mrs. Pauline Ifeoma Osakwe have been claiming ownership to my property have since gone to court to determine the ownership of the two-story buildings between my mother and me. My mother claims to have recently sold the buildings, even though the case is still ongoing in court. Attached is the court process as evidence that I am currently involved in a legal dispute with my mother over the ownership of the buildings.

It is important to note that my mother and my sibling, Ifeoma Valentina Osakwe, have done everything, including harassing me with the police and thugs, to bully me out of my houses situated at No. 25 Nduka IIoba Street, Umuagu quarters, Asaba.I had to take the matter to court in order to secure a restraining order against my mother, youngest sibling, and their associates who are determined to force me out of my property with the assistance of the police. This is just the most recent instance of law enforcement being used to intimidate me and attempt to remove me from my aforementioned home another was the authorship of a false petition to your agency by my youngest sibling, Miss Valentina Ifeoma Osakwe, claiming that my husband and I were involved in the trafficking of children aged 8 and 9 years old. This allegation is false in every material aspect and serves as yet another shameful display.

This falsehood has resulted in the unjust arrest and detention of my minor adopted children, Master William Ikeachuku Taylor and Miss Sherilyn Nwamaka Taylors, aged 4years and age 3 months respectively. Despite presenting all the necessary documentary evidence proving my legal adoption of the children, your officers have continued to detain them since September 22, 2023.

How can children as young as three months and four years old continue to be in the custody of these officers? I don't know if my adopted children are alive or dead. I don't understand why they have refused to release my children to me. Nigerian Police Force, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, HQ Dts Human Rights Congress, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Channels Television, Arise TV, AIT, all Nigerians, and the entire world, please come to my rescue. I don't know if NAPTIP killed my children or trafficked them. I can't understand how children of 4 months and 4 years could disappear. Since 22 September 2022.

Due to the negative encounter with my mother, Mrs. Paulina Ifeoma Osakwe, and my youngest sister, Miss Valentina Ifeoma Osakwe, who attempted to claim my daughter Stella Star Uzomeyea Osakwe as their own, my husband Mr. O.J Taylor and I decided to expand our family by adopting two more children, one male and one female. My husband and I completed all legal procedures and adopted two children, a boy named Master William Ikeachuku Taylor who is currently 4 years old, and a girl named Miss Sherlyn Nwamaka Taylor who is 4 months old. I have attached the orders confirming the lawful adoption of these children by my husband and me. For all to see.

The aforementioned children are under the care of my cousin's wife, Mrs. Blessings Nkechi Jibunoh. I had previously ensured their upkeep and well-being before returning to the United States with my husband.

I am shocked and surprised to hear that my said adopted children, alongside other individuals, were picked up by men from NAPTIP from my residence on September 22, 2023 and that.Your agency released the adults they picked up with my adopted children but bluntly refused to release the aforementioned children despite a formal application for their release, even after being presented with court orders demonstrating that the children are not unlawfully under my custody.

Considering the aforementioned fact, I kindly request that your agency promptly release my children, who have been greatly affected by the distressing experience of being kept away from their home. Please consider reviewing and potentially prosecuting Miss Valentina Ifeoma Osakwe for providing false information, which led to your agency going to great lengths to wrongfully arrest and detain innocent men, women, and even two minors. These minors have been wrongfully held captive since September 22, 2023.
