The Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Plateau State has maintained it’s reiteration of stand and determination to bring true change in the State.

State Chairman of the Party, Engr. Chris Hassan expressed this stand while addressing the mammoth crowd that turned out to welcome their Son, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang who is the Plateau Governorship candidate of PDP at his home Pilot Primary School Bungah during a reception organized in his Honour by people of the locality regardless any form of differences.

Chris Hassan the people of Mangu not to joke with the opportunity PDP has given to them as the whole of people of Plateau State have been  eargarly waiting for PDP, “ that is why we choose to hold primaries in the most transparent manner for all positions, that is why we are able to issue out certificates of return to all our candidates as compare to some people who have no certificate of Return”

Letep Dabang aka the Plateau Bigg Masquerade ‘Dodo’ on his part while delivering his remarks, thanked Mangu people who despite the rain, turned out in  en masse in show of solidarity total commitment for the course.

Letep in his words, “i had said it before and everywhere that, on this day, there will be no road in Mangu, and you have come here in your number, unfortunately, it has been raining cat and dog, and you have defied it to be here, I know most of you under the canopy will prove me right to defy this rain, to show love to our candidate, to show love to our father, to show love to our son defying the rain” .

“Today, I will say even though it is not a day for campaign, but it has kick-started the burial ceremony of the APC, it has kick-started the funeral service of the APC, and it is our hope that by 2023 we will lay it in peace”.

“I want to use this opportunity to also thank all aspirants whether you contested for house of Assembly, Reps, Senate, and Governorship for your continuous support to the PDP”. The big masquerade maintained.

Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, the Candidate, during his remarks also expressed gratitutes to Mangu LGA for making him a proud son, “this type of gesture to a humble son of your’s like me, is a sign of brighter beginning ahead of a victorious tomorrow”

Ngo Josephine Chundung Piyo, the Candidate’s running mate also urged the locality to give their support to the PDP Governorship candidate in it’s fullness.

Earlier, member representing Mangu North in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Bala Fwangje, had during welcoming speech, described Barr. Caleb as a well known hard-working, tested and trusted personality who has left an indelible mark of achievement within Mangu LGA during his time as an executive Council Chairman.

The entourage which had the Former and serving members of the National Assembly who are of the PDP, both upper and lower Chambers in persons and representation, Fmr. LGA Chairmen, Serving and Fmr State assembly members and flagbearers for various positions at all levels amongst others, were earlier on at the palace of Mishkagham Mwagavul Da John Hirse.

Notable amongst members were Reps. Simon Mwadkwon, Dachung Bagos, Timothy Golu, Johnbull Shekarau, Titus Alams, Yiljap Abraham , James Manok, and other Fmr. top government functionaries.

Mutfwang appreciated the traditional rulers, elders and the people of the Mangu LGA for their prayers and support during his campaigns before the party’s primaries which to him, was what led to emergence as his Party’s governorship Candidate.

He solicits the total support of all stakeholders and electorates in all sense of cultural and political dimensions to enable him succeed at the poll.

Other Party stalwarts who also spoke were, the PDP Zonal Chairman, Hon. Theophilus Dakashan, including wife of the Governorship Candidate all thanked the people of Mangu for their kind reception despite the heavy downpour.
