CRISIS is about to rock the Plateau State chapter of the Labour Party(LP) as the Party held primary elections twice to select two different persons as her governorship Candidates ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Earlier reports had indicated how Labour Party conducted it's primary Elections in the presence of relevant supervisory bodies where it adopted and declared Ambassador Yohana Y.D Margif as it's GOVERNORSHIP Flagbearer accordingly.

The contention on the public media space these two days had been that, both Dakum and Margif were separately declared winners at two separately conducted primaries on two different dates.

Recall, there had been pressures said to be coming from some forces who went ahead to write a letter of withdrawal On behalf of the Candidate (Margif), forged his signature, swear to an affidavit and forwarded the documents to Independent National Electoral Commision  INEC giving the electoral body a reasons for the fresh conduct of another exercise.

Meanwhile, report has it on this note that, “SECURITY OPERATIVES HAD ARRESTED YOHANA MARGIF” .

The earlier on declared Governorship candidate of the Labour Party(Amb. Yohana Margif) had through his running mate, Engr. Jack Dung Bot alleged that, his Principal was arrested because of his refusal to handover the ticket to Prof. Patrick Dakum who lost primaries in the rulling All Progressive Congress APC to Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda.

Margif's arrest according to Engr. Jack was auchestrated to skip him of being part of the, August 2022 which was the slated date for the primary elections according to the party's request on INEC which was for the electoral body to monitor the replacement exercise scheduled to produce another Candidate.

The party's leadership in Jos the capital City of Plateau State dramatically achieved the conduct of this exercise  to deny Margif  the Governorship ticket as he was on detention in one of the Divisional Police office in Jos.

This medium learnt that, those highly profiled personalities behind his arrest intended that, police handcuffed him with a highly organized Media trial to give the world a bad image of him in order to achieve their aim but police handled the case in it's professional wisdom.

As at the time of filing in this report, Margif is said to have been moved to another undisclosed police custody again within Jos as he was not found in the earlier kept place of detention.

“SECURITY OPERATIVES HAVE ARRESTED AMB YOHANA MARGIF, PLATEAU STATE GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE OF THE LABOUR PARTY IN ABUJA OVER REFUSAL TO HANDOVERU GUBER TICKET.

Plateau Labour Party erupts in major crises which will  threatened the parties foundation over attempts by some unknown persons to forcefully substitute the parties Gubernatorial Candidate Àmb Yohana Margif.

Confirming the development the Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate Engr Jack Dung Bot said his principal was arrested by police officers who trail him along Kubwa road in Abuja on the high way and ordered him to stop before whisking  Àmb Margif away, he said the operatives identify themselves as police officers from Plateau State command who arrived Abujà with a warrant to arrest him,he said NO further reason was giving for the arrest,he was taking to unknown destination in Abuja.

There has been heated nuctarnal activities ongoing by some highly place persons in conivance with some National Officers of the party who's intend is to hijack the party and the Gubernatorial ticket,they had earlier approach the Gubernatorial Candidate to relinquish the ticket for one of the aspirant but the Candidate resisted the idea outrightly.

In a desperate moves by this forces,the wrote a letter of withdrawal Onbehalf of the Candidate,forge his signature, swear to an affidavit and forwarded the documents to Independent National Electoral Commision  INEC and gave timetable for the conduct of fresh primaries purportedly slated for 5th, August 2022,and  requested INEC to monitor the replacement exercise as scheduled to produce another Candidate without involving him.

Engr Jack said his lawyer and that of the Guber Candidate will approach the courts for sanctions against those concern over the attempts to forcefully substitute them,he said Nigeria hasn't gotten to this lawless situation that some people will use force to intimidate, harassed legitimate winners of party primaries using flimsy excuses.

We have written to all relevant agencies,we shall meet in court from several front to ensure justice”.
